Back in the Victorian era, fireplaces were essential to every upper class household not only as a source of warmth, but also as a cornerstone of togetherness and security. Using the fireplace and distinctive elements from the Victorian era as the mainstay of inspiration, flame frame was conceived.
Adorning the living area — the spot where people converge — with strategically placed Victorian-styled photo frame motifs, the theme of the apartment is, again, made clear and the focal point of the room is identified.
The motifs are continuously strewn about the space; from the joinery to the larger, more visible features on the walls. The use of white and black for the frame-like motif surrounding the TV console aids in creating a starker contrast between the living and dining space.
Victorian-inspired furniture were carefully selected to enhance the style of the lavish apartment while lending a softer look to the space.
