Black and white is a classic timeless colour combination that can easily be considered the epitome of chic and edgy. Inspired by the pinhole camera – the first camera invented which creates reversed images and perspective through a tiny little hole, this creative space serves to portray the different activities that is of interest to the homeowner.

The wall has been painted with contrasting black and white colours to show various perspective when looked at from different angles. Aligned with the different coloured walls, floor tiles of various muted colours were also exclusively selected to tile up the floor, seemingly creating shadows which adds to the depth and dimension of the overall design in the house.

A place for work and play, one of the rooms have been designed to be an open-concept office. Glass panels adorned with black frames are used as doors to separate the work area from the living space, making the office more spacious despite being surrounded with bold and dominant colours.

Angled wall tiles in shades of grey have also been carefully selected to create a chevron pattern on the kitchen wall, adding a little of geometry and texture to break the monotony of the entire black-white combo. Marble tiles were used for the washrooms – white for the common toilet, and black for the toilet in the master bedroom, together with wood as the counter top. This adds not only texture, but also a touch of elegance to the entire design.
